FINAL WEEK 2014: Friend Hangout (Kim/John/Scarlet): Moxies, Photoshoot

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!!

Today, is the last day of 2014 (as you can noticed I had to blog ALOT today due to me slacking during the holidays). My final blog and hangout for 2014 which I spent with Kimberly, Scarlet and John Henry

We went to Yorkdale Shopping Centre to eat at Moxies Bar and Grill and watch Into the Woods.
(This blog will be pretty short in terms of word content since I would like to spend my new years working out and relaxing :D)

Summary of the night was eating amazing food and watching....well a weird movie. Im was kinda disappointed with into the woods but hey, it made me laugh hysterically (literally). This is my last Hangout for awhile since my goal for 2015 is to achieve some goals which needs me to lower the hangout fun and focus on myself for once. Its going to be difficult to adjust too but I'm willing t make the sacrifice!

Anyways, Moxies lead to a 30 minute wait due to the holidays. However, the Food was enjoyable and filling M3~

Before the movie we had some free time so We decided to have a mini photo shoot! I got a Cannon DSLR Rebel T5 Camera for Christmas and decided to make use of it (as you can tell the pictures in this blog are in high quality and much clearer)

Its been a good year. Both good and bad. I made my blogger to be able to capture many moments and not forget how I felt during these times! Glad to have these guys amoungst others in my life.

Week 52: Friend Adventures (Kiranjit)- Yorkdale, Joey's, Shopping

December 27, I chilled with my girl Kiranjit! We went to Joey's Yorkdale for Lunch

Joey's is pretty good meet up place since its so Classy! My first time coming here was with Kiran so it was nice to be back with her. Since the upstairs was completely full we had to sit in the lounge which was fine cause we got ti sit wherever we wanted and had plenty of space! The server was really upbeat and took a picture for us too :D

For starters I had a Sangria (I said I wasn't going to drink but...YOLO)

I ordered Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Fries. Since the waiter Accidently dropped a slice they made us a BRAND new one (I didnt even notice there was a slice missing), Talk about GOOD service.

It was a nice quick hangout. It has been a while since I chilled with Kiran and she my workout inspirational buddy from Nursing. We always say THIS YEAR WERE GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT hahaha! However, I believe this year we will achieve what we've been wanting to for the last 3 years! I love catchup with her and though we hangout literally every 2-3 months, its always worth it !

Week 51: Best Friend Adventures (Anissa): Christmas Celebration

MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FELLOW BLOGGERS

This was my FIRST every Christmas by myself! So, I was invited to my bestie Christmas Dinner! I had lazied around the whole day and fell asleep. Woke up JUST in time to quickly get dressed, do my makeup and go to my friends house for some good food!!!!

I must say My Makeup was ON POINT! I dont think I'm really good with makeup (my skin tone really helps me achieve many bright colors for eyeshadow esp) but I really think I did pretty good job today for this evening makeup! I was really debating on my dress. It's a beautiful dress but very revealing due to the lace top! I couldn't find anything better to wear and I decided "you know what, WHO CARES" Its not like I'm exposing my boobs (I wore a nice Black Bra). So, I wore that dress with pride (something I would probably not be able to do before)

When I got there, many people already there (I was late) but I came in just in time for them to start so I was grateful! We said a little prayer, Thanking Lord for the privilege of having such food and people around us and being alive to recieve such blessings and forgiveness.

The Food was AMAZING, the Cake esp was SOOO adorable and for my amazing bestie for accomplishing her goals and dreams!

We had some white wine and played some video games, watched the tourist and it was just really enjoyable celebration!

Anissa LOVED her gift (got her a Kate Spade Wallet) and I LOVED MY GIFT! It had so much meaning (even when I was drunk). She defiantly knows my likes :D (well blog about it later)

For my first Christmas, with my precious family far away, my best friend made worth while and I met new people and made new friends! Can not be more grateful for such friends <3 Since I was SOOO drunk (not even funny, I was GONE), I stayed over and went boxing day shopping in the morning (didn't have a hangover, thank goodness).

Week 51- Friend Adventures (Kendra)- Birthday Celebration

On December 20th was my girl Kendra, BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Originally, I had made a nursing reunion on the same day but due to everyone saying they cant make it (either becuase they didnt want to travel all the way to Yorkdale) or they made other plans.
*rant time*
I HATE PLANNING EVENTS! You know why? Literally because of people who cancel last minute. I gave people 1 full month to say Yes or No. Yet, the day before is when people give stupid excuses, for example "I dont want to travel down here". OKAY, so WHY did you even agree to come? Like I hate when people are so selfish and think about only their struggle. Also the best part was NOT telling me. I dont think people realize that when you BOOK a room at a expensive restaurant, you have to pay... yet to think I was gonna pay for a room of 15 when only 4 people show up...FUNNY. Anyways, I dont got time to be nice or sugar coat anything anymore, so I don't care. Never hosting an event unless its my OWN birthday party with best/close friend that WONT give me stupid reasons to ditch. *SIGGGHH*

ANYWAYS, moving on :D

So Kendra, is such an AMAZING person!!! I love how straight forward she is!!! Ive only been very straight forward recently, since I was tired of not truthfully being myself. She really motivates me to speak my mind and not take bullshit XD!!! Since my event was cancelled, I was able to come to her birthday get together! The celebration was at Moxie's Bar & Grill.

LET ME TELL YOU, THIS CELEBRATION WAS LIVE!!!! It was beyond fun, a lot of laughs! It was nice talking about work, school struggles and how its hard for Plus size people to get the outfits or clothes they want!!!! I felt bad for the waiter since it seem she was struggling with the bills and stuff but it was overall fun and amazing event to attend. I REGRET NOTHING!

Week 51: Best Friend Adventures (Noah)- Distillery District: Christmas Market

December 21, I went down to Distillery District for 2014 Christmas Market with Noah!

I had previously went before hand with some friends but due to the time constraint and the LONG line, I would be late for my other event and had no choice but to ditch.

Since Dec.21 is the LAST day of the market and I really wanted to experience it, Noah didn't mind coming down with me (even though he JUST finished work!). We met at 4pm and headed down to King station.

It about a 30 minute walk to the market and thanks to my awesome photographic memory, I was able to direct us all the way there. Yes, I could have just GPS it but it was really cold and I didnt want to carry my phone in my hand the whole time.

It was EXTREMELY BUSY! Beyond my expectation and the line was the same like the previous time but we waited about 5-8mins before we finally got in. It was pretty hard to take pictures due to the crowds and it was really dark (no DSLR) so I took some quick pics and we walked around.

Overall, the lights were really nice and decorations were beautiful. As for the shops, totally over priced esp the food, but that's how they make their money in such events. ALL I WANTED WAS CHURROS! I didn't care about anything else.

We started off with Canadian Poutine since we walked twice and couldnt find the Churros booth. After asking some workers, we finally found where it was located (it was named "Sweet or Dessert something...I honestly dont even remeber). We bought 3 churros for $9 and the gentlemen gave us one more since he saw it was for two of us (or he really liked Noah hair). Also came with Chocolate dip. We went inside the Art Hall and they were PERFECT TEMPERATURE!

We left the market after walking around 3 times. It was really crowded so you couldn't see much of the events (if there were any).  Rest of the evening, we walked around downtown, took some more pictures and walked to Nathan Phillip Square before heading home. On the way we got McDonalds and Some Starbucks (those Christmas drinks are amazing!!!)

It was a fun day & was thankful that Noah took the time especially after his shift (8am-4pm) to come down with me <3

Week 51: Best Friend Adventures (Noah)- Sushi, VIP Theatre, Hobbit

December 18th, I chilled with my bestie Noah!

Since we been delaying our movie hangout for the LONGEST time, decided to go to the VIP theater at Shops at Don mills which recently opened. One benefit of that location is free parking and its surrounded by many high end shops such as Michael Kors with many restaurants surrounding the area including Jack Astor (my favorite).

We went to Matsuda Japanese Sushi for lunch. My favorite part of this location or sushi place in general is their dessert!!!! They are absolutely AMAZING! I LOVE THEM! Me and Noah went there once before when we first began our friendship and I swear we ordered like 10-16! So today I wanted to make sure I saved enough room for that portion.

The service is never an issue with this location at 1300 Donmills Road. The Servers were super friendly and we got seated pretty quickly (in the EXACT same spot as last time).

After Sushi we headed to the Theatre. My old coworkers and General Manager had transferred there so it was nice chatting and seeing the progress in the last year. Left Cineplex last year. 3 years of interesting experiences (both good and bad) and changed my calm personality to a very straight forward, no tolerance person, but it did help me or at least shape me for who I am today >3>.

We ordered some drinks and relaxed a bit in the lounge before heading into the theater to watch the Hobbit.

Frozen Blueberry Lemonade- VERY good

Hobbit was indeed good. It really was touching esp if you've been waiting every November for all the movies to come out. Had a valuable lesson on friendship and to never forget who you are, no matter what temptations you must face.
