FINAL WEEK 2014: Friend Hangout (Kim/John/Scarlet): Moxies, Photoshoot

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!!

Today, is the last day of 2014 (as you can noticed I had to blog ALOT today due to me slacking during the holidays). My final blog and hangout for 2014 which I spent with Kimberly, Scarlet and John Henry

We went to Yorkdale Shopping Centre to eat at Moxies Bar and Grill and watch Into the Woods.
(This blog will be pretty short in terms of word content since I would like to spend my new years working out and relaxing :D)

Summary of the night was eating amazing food and watching....well a weird movie. Im was kinda disappointed with into the woods but hey, it made me laugh hysterically (literally). This is my last Hangout for awhile since my goal for 2015 is to achieve some goals which needs me to lower the hangout fun and focus on myself for once. Its going to be difficult to adjust too but I'm willing t make the sacrifice!

Anyways, Moxies lead to a 30 minute wait due to the holidays. However, the Food was enjoyable and filling M3~

Before the movie we had some free time so We decided to have a mini photo shoot! I got a Cannon DSLR Rebel T5 Camera for Christmas and decided to make use of it (as you can tell the pictures in this blog are in high quality and much clearer)

Its been a good year. Both good and bad. I made my blogger to be able to capture many moments and not forget how I felt during these times! Glad to have these guys amoungst others in my life.

Week 52: Friend Adventures (Kiranjit)- Yorkdale, Joey's, Shopping

December 27, I chilled with my girl Kiranjit! We went to Joey's Yorkdale for Lunch

Joey's is pretty good meet up place since its so Classy! My first time coming here was with Kiran so it was nice to be back with her. Since the upstairs was completely full we had to sit in the lounge which was fine cause we got ti sit wherever we wanted and had plenty of space! The server was really upbeat and took a picture for us too :D

For starters I had a Sangria (I said I wasn't going to drink but...YOLO)

I ordered Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Fries. Since the waiter Accidently dropped a slice they made us a BRAND new one (I didnt even notice there was a slice missing), Talk about GOOD service.

It was a nice quick hangout. It has been a while since I chilled with Kiran and she my workout inspirational buddy from Nursing. We always say THIS YEAR WERE GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT hahaha! However, I believe this year we will achieve what we've been wanting to for the last 3 years! I love catchup with her and though we hangout literally every 2-3 months, its always worth it !

Week 49: Friend Adventures (Fenan)- Moxies

On December 5th, I got to chill with my friend Fenan! We decided we would go to Yorkdale Moxies Grill & Bar for lunch. This was my day off so I could take my sweet time walking around the mall and also catchup with my girl!

I've known Fenan since 2nd year of nursing. We got close during our Samba (or whatever its called lol) and African Dancing class that we took in summer to gain extra credits (so we would have a less course load during our final year in Nursing. Since than we try to keep in touch and still message one another every couple of months as a "pulse check" haha.

I usually only go to Moxies cause of their famous White Chocolate Brownie, which I LOVE. The service overall was okay (I think our sever was training another girl but they both kept checking on us to see if our meal was good etc). Food took a bit long as well but it was busy (there was a birthday party celebration right next to us with some 14 year olds so -3-).

I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri (never tried Moxies drinks before) for starters as I viewed the main courses.

I normally order chicken wings (doesn't matter the restaurant), but decided to try something different and would be more filling to me. I ended up ordering the Lunch special which is a choice between the Broccoli and Cheese Soup or the Soup of the day, with Half Beef Dip Sandwich (consist of beef, swiss cheese, and mushrooms).

Of course for dessert, I got my White Chocolate Brownie! I should have mentioned that I wanted the mini version than the full size (now that Im working on my fitness and weight loss,), I had a bit of difficulty finishing it compared to few months back.

Overall, it was nice catching up with a good friend!

I'm a person who knows many people but Im pretty picky now a days with who I chill with and who I make time for. I guess it comes with age and experience, but I don't waste time on individuals who either give the "Im busy" excuse or who don't contact me for more than 2-3 months. I just don't see why I should make time for them with my busy schedule (I work on average 72-90 hours in 2 weeks and thats just "work". Doesn't include my workouts, etc). Also for those who always give the excuse that Im busy with work or school etc, as I stated above, I'm just as busy or more (I have a career not a part time job) but I balance my hangouts and try to fit anyone in my schedule

Anyways, thats my little rant about people LOL. Fenan is another awesome individual that I like to keep in my circle of friends. I love her character overall. She has a similar outlook as me in terms of people and it was just nice to catchup and update one another about our work/personal life and just talk about general girly stuff XD

Week 45: Best Friend Adventures (Noah)

Today, I got to chill with my Mom and Noah :D!! This was the first time they meet one another, and it was really interesting.

My Mom has issues with other people driving her so if you go to fast she gets all nervous (its SOOO cute xD), so I couldn't stop laughing when Noah was only going btw 80-90 on the highway and my mom was freaking out!!!!! My mom really liked Noah. She thought he was chilled which I believe is rare when your best friend is meeting your MOM! Also my mom is really laid back. When Noah was talking he said "Oh shit" and than he was like "OH...SORRY" and me and my mom died of laughter!!! I swear sometimes at home too so my mom doesn't take offence compared to maybe 2 years ago when she would be like NO SWEARING in the house kinda deal xD!!! Overall, Noah a really good driver so we got to our destination on a nice timely manner! I had to chill with my mom for a bit and took us literally 45-60mins before we got everything checked and cleared -__- sooooo long! So FINALLY, I left my mom (love u mommy :p) and Noah came back and picked me up (I have no idea what he did for the whole hour *_*)

We went to Yorkdale for some nice shopping :D!! Since Noah drove me and my Mom, I decided to treat him to some good lunch/dinner. By this time, it was about 415pm when we reached Yorkdale so we were both starving!! The traffic was horrible!!!! It took about 10 minutes to find parking and the line to get even into Yorkdale parking lot was crazy (15 minutes).

We started off with our lunch/dinner at Pickle Barrel (will write a review on our experience). After dinner, we went around the mall. It was honestly so crowded, ridiculous -3-. I have a few things I have to buy for Christmas shopping. I know what I'm getting Noah (not your keyboard that u want Mr. if your reading this -3-). Also have a general idea of what Im getting for my other best friends. In terms of coordinators at work, probably going to get them Visa gift cards (apparently some have activation fees so I gotta be careful). We went to MK (wanted to view the wallets and they moved into a  MUCH bigger and spacious area of Yorkdale- not opposite of coach anymore), Kate spade, Holt Renfrew, Jack Jones, Top Men/Hudson Bay, Guess, Sport Chek (bought my weights), and went to the source to buy temporary earphones cause my Beats cord has died (R.I.P). I should order a new cord but my Beat headphones are having its own issues so I'll invest in a new one in a month or so. Probably, after christmas since Shopping alone will be about $400-500 bucks for the 7-8 people I'm getting gifts for.

I kinda wanna be cheap with my gifts, but now int today society you have to spend at least $50 or more, and me having a career doesn't help (people expect more sadly). But I've really narrowed down who Im giving gifts too cause honestly at the end of the day, they say thank u and thats it. Just wasted money on people who probably wont last long in your life to begin with.

Anyways, it was a good day overall. I really love Noah for his amazing personality and care free character. He is shy but once u get to know him, its so much fun! I love annoying him hehehe! Thanks Noah for always pampering me >:D!!!! (and driving me home, LORD knowsssss if I took the bus from yorkdale I wouldn't get home till 9).

Though I got home at 730pm, I couldn't sleep. Probably slept around 9ish and had to get up at 930 to go to work. I didn't want to be late (I always get Tim Hortons before my night shifts) so I took the 21:48 bus than the usual 22:04 bus. Also it being Saturday and the subway is closed from Eglinton to Bloor so shuttle busing is annoying.
